1st attempt at making Phở (Swipe swipe ➡️➡️➡️). It’s a Vietnamese style soup using mainly beef bones as the base. 🇻🇳🍜 It’s great for any time of the day or when you’re feeling drained and it’s packed with so many spices and herbs 🌿

So much time goes into making it because it’s cooked at low heat. I think you can appreciate the food more once you know. ♨️

Generally a few different cuts of meat are used for this but I only had beef flank bones so that’s what I used. I heard that, ox tail, beef bones and cow feet are good ones to use but pork and chicken can also be used 🐄🐖🐔🐂

The broth isn’t as clear as it should be, but I’ll get better at skimming a the scum at the top when it rises. It’s also less clear because I added soy sauce.
There’s actually an item that is specific for doing that so I hope to buy one and make it easier to do, rather than using my ladle 🤣
I found that that cooking at higher temperatures bring more scum to the top. 🔥

Two ingredients I didn’t have but I think we’re pretty important was fish sauce and rock sugar. Definitely use those next time.

I’m going to do a seperate post for the difference spices/herbs etc used but wooww there are so many different combinations you can do to create different flavours of this 😍
