(Swipe Swipe ➡️➡️➡️) The spices, herbs and vegetables used in the Phở. The ones I used here are:
•Garlic •Ginger •Star anise •Corriander •Corriander seeds •Parsley •Fennel seeds •Nutmeg •Black Pepper •Salt •Seaweed •Thyme

The parsley, fennel seeds and thyme were toasted in a pan for a few and the rest was put in the oven for about 20 minutes. Doing this brings out the smell and flavours. 👅👃

Apart from the onions and garlic, everything was then put into a cheesecloth and then into the pot to flavour the broth.

I love looking at all the different types of herbs and spices there are, the blends that can be used to flavour food and how the taste changes as you keep adding/changing things around.
I want to keep trying out new spices and herbs whenever I get the chance to cook with them.

I also like how they’re not just good for taste but they’re also have so many nutritional benefits, helping you out in various ways.
